An excellent search engine helps if looking for specific fibre content or particular colours - click on http://www.capelrugs.com/advancedSearch.aspx - select Construction: choose Braids , select Contents: choose Wool or Cotton or Polypropylene, select Color : choose ....

Sample swatches: If you're unable to visit us in person we have sample swatches (in a number of designs) that we can lend provided you pay the postage fees. These rug swatches are around the size of a large serving platter and weigh 350g each or more so postage can be fairly costly. Narrowing your choice down to one or two pieces is recommended. Swatches of your furnishing fabrics or paint colour cards can also be sent to us so that we can make suggestions on rugs you might like.

Size considerations: Typically furniture should be either completely on or completely off a rug for stability, visual balance and to prevent damage to the edges of the rugs. Rugs for under kitchen or dining room tables should extend at least 75cm or 2 ½ ft beyond the table all round so chairs sit evenly on the rug when pulled back from the table. Sizes larger than the 152cm x 244cm or 5ft x 8ft that are normally stocked can be specially ordered. Eg. If your table measures approx. 3ft x 6ft you should consider a rug measuring 8ft x 11ft.

Note: Dimensions of rugs are approximate as each piece is assembled by hand; and colours in the images are not always 100% accurate - particularly with variegated yarn rugs. Please feel free to contact us about colours and your requirements .

Also note that computer monitors affect colour and that there may be some difference between the viewed colours and actual colours.
