How to Order

Our mail order service is for Australian residents living in Australia.

By Phone: A phone call is the easiest way to place a credit card order. We take MasterCard or VISA.
Please telephone (08) 8339 2288 between 9am-5pm Mon- Fri or 11am-4pm Saturdays.
If our office is unattended for a period of time please leave your details and we’ll return your call a.s.a.p.
Or if you prefer (which is better for us) please email your telephone number and we'll return your call a.s.a.p.

By Mail: We recommend that you phone us to check stock availability and Registered Post / courier charge
to your home before posting your order to PO Box 197, Stirling, SA 5152.
If sending a cheque or money order, please make it payable to The Braided Rug Company,
and allow an additional 3 days for a cheque to clear. Please do not mail cash.


Special Orders

Special order terms: Please note that we must request a 50% (non-refundable) deposit
when we place your order with the US; the balance when your order is ready to send to you
from our premises.  On small orders we request full payment up front. 
Airfreight orders normally take around 4 weeks to arrive at our
premises (from date we place a bulk order with the US) 
- so please allow additional time to forward your order on to you.
Please also note that we cannot refund or exchange unless they are faulty or not as ordered
- so you'll need to be sure of your choice. A deposit would confirm that you accept
our terms and that your order is firm. If for any reason we are unable to supply,
your deposit would be refunded in full.


Rug prices quoted are in Australian dollars and
include airfreight from the US, duty & GST

Registered Post & Courier charges:

For a quote on Registered Post or Courier from SA 5152 to where you live please email info@rugsbraided.com.au and supply your PostcodeSmall rugs up to 3ft x 5ft are generally sent by Registered Post.  Anything larger or multiple order is sent by courier - so a street address is required.  Australia Post zones as follows:-

N1 = Sydney
N2, ACT, V1, Q1 = NSW, ACT, Melbourne, Brisbane, Gold Coast & Sunshine Coast
V2, S1 = VIC, Adelaide
Q2 = Near Qld
S2, T1 = SA, TAS
Q3, Q4 = Mid Qld, Nth Qld
W1 = Perth
W2 = Mid WA

NT1, W3 = NT, Nth WA

NB. Courier charges need to be individually calculated for orders 24 sq ft and over. 
We courier via TNT Road Express. 

Delivery by Registered Post: Small to medium size parcels are sent by
Registered Post. Australia Post limits the size of parcel they will send.

Delivery by courier: Medium to large size parcels must be delivered by
courier and insured against loss or damage whilst in transit. When the
goods are delivered, you or someone you nominate must sign to confirm the
goods have arrived in good order. Your delivery address must therefore
be attended during office hours.

Postage / courier charges: include the cost of freight (based on weight
or volume, whichever is greater), Registered Post fee (if your parcel is sent by post),
insurance, packing and GST. Charges are subject to change without notice.
We also reserve the right to individually price very large parcels.

Care instructions

Braided rugs are reversible for twice the wear

Vacuum regularly using the hard surface attachment only

Spot clean with carpet cleaner if soiled

Professionally dry clean on occasion

Spray extraction method using a low foam detergent
can be used at home - using flat, not brush mechanism.

Polypropylene rugs are washable or use professional steam
extraction method.  They can also be used on a covered deck or patio
provided they're on a smooth clean surface - protected from the weather,
and allowed to dry out.  Dry by turning and turning, or hang over a wide railing. 

Braided rugs are durable and hardwearing but because they are
assembled by hand, they sometimes require a little maintenance
eg. should the stitches that hold the braids ever separate they
should be repaired with a needle and strong thread.
With cats or dogs - care should be taken if they have long,
sharp claws or are liable to chew.
